The Operating Room Global (TORG) is a professional platform for operating theatre staff of all disciplines both locally and internationally; Surgeons, Physician Assistants, Anaesthesiologists, Theatre and Perioperative Nurses, Scrub and Circulatory staff, Recovery staff, Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetists , Certified Surgical Technologists, First Assistants, Registered Nurse First Assistants, Perfusionists, Surgical Residents, Anaesthesia Technicians, Anaesthesia Support, Respiratory Technicians, Medical Device Company Representatives, Medical Students, Interns…. and many more, with a current membership of over 80,000 operating room professionals.
TORG was pioneered in Nigeria, a not-for-profit and non-political organization established in 2015 and helmed by founding members with a strong management team commanding extensive operating room experience.
Our Global Moderators comprise of 10 dynamic operating room professionals with passion and dedication and are instrumental in developing the status and profile of TORG as a reputable organization. Over the last few years, The Operating Room Global (TORG) oversaw significant growth and expanded regionally including setting up Chapters.
Our continued success depend on every operating room professional from back-end to the front office. Due to their relentless pursuit of excellence and commitment to high standards, our leadership has helped translate TORG’S goals into substantial accomplishments over the years. About our Honorary Patron:
He is a 1971 MBBS holder from King Edward Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan.
He was a Trauma and General surgeon in the Armed Forces till 1985 and a 1971 War Veteran.
He has a Masters degree in Healthcare and Hospital Management and has a special interest in Hospital Planning and Design.
He teaches Hospital Management at MBA level at several institutes in Karachi, Pakistan.
