Beenish Islam is a seasoned Medical Educationist with a dedicated focus on Allied Health Sciences, specifically in the field of Surgical Technology. With over a decade of experience in this domain, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to advancing surgical care and healthcare education.

One of Beenish’s notable strengths is her ability to analyze organizational structures to identify problems and implement meaningful changes in curriculum and program regulations. She excels in pinpointing educational needs and developing tailored curricula, along with effective implementation plans to address them. Her innovative approach to academic leadership centers on teaching and implementing advanced aseptic measures and ensuring quality assurance in Operation Theaters.

Beenish’s teaching journey began as a Lecturer in Surgical Technology at Khyber Medical University in Pakistan. In this role, she educated students on the theory and practical aspects of sterile instrument processing and coordinated practical learning experiences in Operation Theatres. Her contributions included preparing timetables and learning materials for the surgical technology program, monitoring and assessing students’ coursework, and supervising student research projects.

Currently, as a Lecturer in Surgical Technology (Allied Health Sciences) at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan, Beenish continues to make a significant impact. Her responsibilities involve providing theoretical education, practical training, and coordinating clinical rotations for students. She actively contributes to the development of the surgical technology specialty curriculum and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration within the university.

Beenish’s commitment to education extends beyond the classroom. She is known for organizing faculty development workshops related to medical education and maintaining meticulous internal assessment records to provide constructive feedback to students.

Before joining TORG-MAG, Beenish’s experience included working as a Sterile Processing Technician in an Orthopedic Operation Theater. In this role, she played a vital part in infection prevention, supervising sterilization processes, and providing surgical assistance.

Beenish holds an impressive educational background, with a Master’s degree in Health Professions Education from Khyber Medical University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Surgical Technology and a BSc in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry.

Her accolades include securing the first position in a research poster presentation, authoring a book on surgical technology, and completing a thesis on academic integrity. She has also served as a guest speaker and workshop facilitator on various aspects of medical education and assessment tools.

Beyond her professional achievements, Beenish is certified in Mind and Personality Development (Level 1) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming, highlighting her dedication to personal and professional growth.
